Impact Stories

Amina’s Journey to Education
Amina was just six years old when she arrived at Malaika Orphanage, shy and unsure of her future. Orphaned at a young age, she had never attended school and struggled with basic literacy. At Malaika, Amina was enrolled in our educational program, where she received one-on-one tutoring to help her catch up with her peers. With the support of her teachers and caregivers, Amina quickly blossomed into a bright and confident student. Today, she is excelling in her studies and dreams of becoming a teacher, so she can give back to her community just as Malaika gave to her.
Samuel’s Road to Recovery

Samuel came to Malaika Orphanage after losing his parents in a tragic accident. The trauma left him withdrawn and fearful, with little hope for the future. At Malaika, Samuel was provided with the emotional support and counseling he needed to heal. Through art therapy and mentorship, he began to express his feelings and gradually opened up to others. Samuel’s transformation was remarkable. He started participating in group activities and developed a passion for music. Today, Samuel is a talented young musician who uses his love of music to inspire other children at Malaika, proving that with the right support, every child can overcome their past and build a brighter future.
